The primary on-suite is your personal haven – a serene, zen-like retreat to escape, relax, and enjoy. These parents wanted to turn the original space with a bright blue shag carpet, old paint, a misplaced linen closet, a single rusted sink vanity, and a shower with a double-layer wall covering into just that. Aahhh, where to start?!

Demolition took a few days, and everything just mentioned was removed. Gone! We took it down to the studs. The only remaining item was the oversized soaking tub which, surprisingly, was still in great condition.

The same luxury vinyl plank flooring installed throughout the home was carried into the bedroom. Consistent flooring makes a home look larger and creates a seamless, cohesive flow. We installed a patterned floor tile in the bathroom that incorporated that bohemian vibe the clients requested.

Additionally, we extended the vanity, creating space for a double sink and adding extra storage. The oak-colored cabinetry was paired with a white quartz countertop and perfectly complimented the flooring. To add a unique touch, we mixed and matched the hardware on the cabinets and drawers, giving the space a personalized and stylish finish.

For the shower area, we installed subway tiles with a creative twist – stacking them vertically. This design choice gave the room a modern, fresh feel. And to be a bit cost-conscious, we were able to re-glaze the bathtub and add a new waterfall faucet. Having both an oversized shower and bathtub is simply heavenly.

We removed the traditional entrance door to the bathroom. It was replaced with a modern sliding door with an oversized black matte finish handle, providing that “grand entrance” feeling when entering the bathroom.

Fresh paint, designer light fixtures and faucets in a matte black finish, an oversized mirror, a new toilet, and a unique towel holder and drapes were the finishing touches for this space. The colors, cabinetry, bath fixtures, and textures all contributed to the California causal look, which perfectly complemented the bohemian flooring to achieve the couple’s envisioned style.
