MidCentury Coastal Entryway

About

Sophisticated yet laid-back Home Owner

The saying holds true, you never get a second chance to make a first impression, and that goes for homes too! This home had a cool mid-century coastal vibe, and we were tasked to create a stunning entranceway that not only connected with the rest of the home but also displayed notable artwork. This was truly a bespoke moment.

To do so, it was important that each element told a personal story of the family that lives there. By starting with the placement of the artwork, we ensured that the art was the star of the moment. The challenge we faced was getting creative about how to hang this art since the wall was curved.

From there, we added a one-of-a-kind teak chair. This art-loving, outdoorsy S. Florida family loves the beach and the sea, and this chair provided both a coastal and sophisticated feel. A bonus was that this chair was actually comfortable to sit in.

The faux potted palm added a no-maintenance touch, bringing the outdoors inside and providing the balance needed to offset the size of the painting and chair.

It only took these 3 components to accomplish our goal, but these components were carefully chosen to make a statement that was customized, cozy, and proportionate. The attention to detail in each piece ensured that guests feel welcome and at home from the moment they step through the door.

This beautiful entrance set the tone for the rest of the home, preparing guests to continue experiencing a space characterized by elegance and comfort.
